Aushorse is a non-profit public company limited by guarantee whose aim is to promote the Australian thoroughbred on behalf of the commercial thoroughbred breeders and consignors throughout Australia. Aushorse aims to be nationally inclusive, open and accountable, working for the betterment of the Australian thoroughbred industry. Aushorse members include 61 commercial farms that constitute the leading thoroughbred farms and yearling consignors in Australia. The South Australian Thoroughbred Breeders Inc. was formed in the late 1940s with its original name, the South Australian Bloodhorse Breeders' Association. The aim of the association is to promote and advance the interests of the thoroughbred and its breeders in South Australia. The SATB were closely involved with the planning and structuring of the South Australian Breeders' Incentive Scheme (SABIS) and participate with representation on the Policy Group.

TBNSW is the peak industry and representative body for all thoroughbred breeders in NSW and represents the NSW thoroughbred breeding industry at National Breeders Meetings and at all meetings and committees with governmental, racing, veterinary and associated bodies throughout NSW and Australia. TBNSW promotes and advances the interests of the thoroughbred and its breeders. It is a representative body for breeders and fosters a unified approach by breeders in promoting the industry and Australian-bred horses both locally and internationally. TBNSW is representative of breeders in Governmental issues relating to the industry and provides accurate and authoritative advice and information to members and to the general public on any aspect of the thoroughbred industry. The Association is the organisation of breeders which is officially recognised by Australian and State Governments, Race Clubs, the Australian Stud Book, Veterinary Associations, the Australian Horse Council, Universities and many other state, national and international organisations with whom the Association works to promote the industry.

Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA) is the peak industry and representative body for all thoroughbred breeders in Australia. TBA was founded in 1919 and is a registered company comprising of two representatives from each state and from Aushorse. The board meets at regular intervals throughout the year. TBA is a united body open to all breeders through state membership. TBA represents the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry at International Breeders Meetings, the Asian Racing Conference and other overseas meetings and at all meetings and committees with governmental, racing, veterinary and associated bodies through out Australia.
